ZOOM OUT
o many people are on zoom these days.
It has been a game changer for what's possible during a pandemic.
I have had some INCREDIBLY intimate moments on zoom this year, I am so grateful.
Dancing with 1000's of people from all over the world.
Meditating for peace.
Group healing with my Sister's circle.
Coffee dates with new friends.
Meeting babies for the first time.
Celebrating my clients on their first alcohol free dates, birthday's and vacations!
When we get off of the computer after a long week, day or meeting, the tendency after the transition is to want to ZONE out for most people.
Rather than pause to reflect, to stop at the vista after the long hike,
We want it to all go away...
This is simple a habit.
You see where this is going.
Life becomes an endless cycle of rushing from one place to the next,
to get to some final goal that will never hold what you want if you don't stop.
I have a five year old and he has to stop a lot if we go hiking.
He also loves to just get close to me and check out the vista.
He does this naturally.
Whenever we get to where we are going, he just stops to take it all in.
That was the point, right?!?
As adults we loose this.
Nothing feels satisfying, because you didn't even look.
So you drink to not feel disappointment,
or to feel some unnatural pleasure.
Life is challenging.
It will forever be.
Be you are resilient.
This weekend, ZOOM out.
Take a wider perspective.
Zoom all the way out to space and remember how TINY you are.
Bask in the wonder and awe of billions of years in the making.
YOU ARRIVED, here and now.
Make a list of all the amazing things you DID this week.
See how that changes the vibe of waiting to zone out.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mary
