The Pain Of Staying The Same

"Once the discomfort of staying the same, surpasses the discomfort of change, they take the leap."
-Alex Hormozi

As a species we literally make MOVES when there is a pleasure response, an alleviation of pain OR a perceived saving of time (being efficient).
Alcohol covers all three of these things.
That's why it seems scary to stop.
It's also why we don't have to relearn to walk again every year.
But if you did, I bet the pain of crawling to your destination would override the discomfort of getting up and falling...
Mostly because you would have evidence it was possible.
You would see people all around you walking and think, I want that too, I remember what that was like.

At a point, when you want change bad enough like I did.
Alcohol makes life and new pursuits seem like crawling.

So how do you stop basing the future on the past and the emotional relief being sold to you at every turn?
Contentment, Connection and Conviction.
It seems in the west, nothing is good enough for us.
You have an amazing life andSTILL aren't satisfied.
It's like the more we get, the more we want, but in the mean time everyone's running around acting like Veruca Salt! (myself included.)

But Daddy... I want an umpalumpa!
just DON'T.

You have to get your gratitude in check, take personal responsibility for your thoughts, and then you sayYES to feeling!
To the thing that's so fun, no alcohol required.
To the thing that's terrifying but you can't stop thinking about it.
To a new connection when you feel awkward.
To sex when it's been a while.
You get our of your head and into your heart.
Into the present and stop thinking so much about what literally doesn't exist. (the past and future.)

You will spend your life soscared of the THOUGHT of discomfort, you will never find out the truth of what you are capable of.
The comfort of staying the same works, until it doesn't.
People that don't take the leap end up blaming the world.
They are triggered by everything.
Everyone is the problem.

Take advantage of your free will and have some fun!
Alcohol is what keeps lifeSame shit, different day.
Screw that.
It will be a little uncomfortable at first.
But building a business, serving women from across the world, buying your dream home, having your own personal studio, flexibility to home school your children, money for vacations, dancing during the day in public, physical strength, optimal health, bathing in the moon, growing your community...

That's living.

When the pain of staying the same is nagging at you day after day, breaking your own heart, what do you have to loose to take the leap into change?
Everything you have ever dreamed of.
My approach to quitting alcohol isn't about just not drinking.
It's about learning to FEEL, so there's nothing you sayI can't do.

The reason you think you can't is always the reason you need to.
So you can have access to morecontentment, connection and CONVICTIONfor the next amazing thing.

Quitting drinking alcohol created my dream life.
In moving through some initial discomfort, accepting the stuff was getting me nowhere, I was able to replace it with my desires for life.
BOOM.
Why would you ever wait?
I am living proof.
My clients are living proof.
There are MILLIONS of people who are having a blast in this life,NOT DRINKING.
Logically you know the truth, but embodied evidence is what makes it stick.

You are SO worth it,
Mary
