The holiday season is a mix of emotions: joy, excitement, stress, and sometimes just going through the motions. If you’ve found yourself drinking more during the holidays, even without intending to, you’re not alone. Let’s explore why.

Holidays often bring gatherings with a culture of drinking. Even if there’s no external pressure, there’s this subtle expectation that drinks are part of the celebration. But for many of us, the urge to drink goes beyond tradition—it’s a quick fix to ease social jitters or mask deeper feelings.

When we get curious about this pattern, we realize we can create new ways to approach celebrations. Awareness is key. Instead of reaching for a drink, we can notice the situations that trigger that pull and make intentional choices that help us feel more present and joyful.
