Navigating The Social Stigma Of Not Drinking

Comparison is the thief of joy,”
-Theodore Roosevelt

Let me put this as gentle as possible,
nobody cares if you are drinking or not.
Of course, there may be exceptions if alcohol is having a big impact on your life.
The story of the negative bias doesn't come from the PEOPLE, it comes from BIG ALCOHOL.
People love you and will continue to.
They want you to be happy and healthy.
The "not being normal", is a story you are creating in your mind that requires further investigation.
What's normal about a past time that kills 90,000 people every year in the US alone?
What's normal about altering WHO YOU ARE and how you show up, as is?
What's so unsatisfying about this moment, your beautiful life and what has been given that it requires change?
How does what's in your glass matter to align with your intentions?
Who are these bullies saying if you don't drink you're wrong?
Even if it's everyone, do you want to be like everyone else?

There are enough people in the world who don't think feel this way.
It's time to know Drinking as a Social Norm, is A message, not the requirement.
Who's making money off of your belief that this is true and the only way to be happy?
If you are going to create a story about being social without drinking, create the one where everyone secretly thinks you are a bad ass and can't believe how amazing you look in thatspandex suit.
