Dare to believe something new.
Beliefs are thoughts we think over and over again.
Habits are actions we take based on feelings produced by these beliefs.
This creates deep groves in our brain called, smaskara’s in yogic philosophy.
These grooves can become so deep, they create literal and figurative, “ruts”.
Deep tracks in the mind that produce the same responses over and over again based on mostly survival. Responding to acts of pleasure, rather than pain or not dying.
Fair enough.
However, most of us do not need this function anymore, on a day to day survival level anyway.
But it persist, making it harder in our sensory overloaded world to choose a different path.
Enter: evolutionary thinking.
Instead of responding to the Think, Feel, Act cycle ingrained in us from countless sources, we start to see how this automatic response cycle may just be limiting our potential of the future.
These ruts we fall in become so deep that we can’t even see the light.
And therefore, we don’t know how the hell to get out.
The truth is, you may be completely comfy where you are in your world.
But if you have any challenging relationships with people, substances, or can’t seem to ever get ahead of where you are to where you would like to be,
chances are, you’re in a rut.
However, you can’t be convinced of a better future, you have to have evidence for why changing your thoughts and intern your beliefs would be a positive thing in your life and potentially the lives of others.
If there is something in your life that you have an inkling could be better, or you spend a lot of mental power wishing it was different,
instead of trying to change that “thing”, how about thinking to the beat of a new groove?
The one you create in your brain.
Aren’t you tired of the same old things being problems, day after day?
The amazing tool that is your brain, has the capacity to turn problems into power.
It’s just wonderful.
